Hi all, Recently, I've been asked to develop a preliminary reading list for an undergraduate unit on personality development (with a transpersonal psychology focus). Although I have taught developmental psychology at undergrad level before, this has been in a mainstream psychology degree, and this is the first time I have been offered to be involved with a transpersonal psychology unit on the topic. Although I'm really excited about putting together some of the resources for the unit and potentially teaching in this area in future, I've hit a bit of a roadblock in terms of finding good textbooks that deal with personality development from this perspective. Most personality/lifespan texts seem to centre on the traditional theories (not so much a transpersonal focus -- although, there are some aspects, i.e., Maslow's model delves into this somewhat, and is featured in most of the texts). I was wondering whether some members at this forum might recommend a resource that I could start with. There are certainly many useful papers and chapters on the topic that I could incorporate, but I haven't come across a refined text book that takes a transpersonal approach to personality development. (Though, admittedly, I may be asking for too much!). Any feedback on books that relate to this area would be much appreciated. Thank you! Alex
